We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton Rose Hall in Jamaica this past July. You all know we are huge fans of Jamaica, we consider it our second home, so coming to a new resort was exciting. I think we have found our new go-to destination in Jamaica in the Hilton Rose Hall. A short ride from the airport (20 minutes) and you arrive in paradise. We were lucky enough to stay for 5 nights and cannot wait to return!
We arrived a little after 1 PM. Check-in was swift and easy and our room was ready. We had an amazing 7th floor room, with views in all directions of the ocean, we could see both the sunrise and sunset. Our room was incredible, we had so much space and wouldn't mind moving in!
The Hilton Rose Hall isn't a huge property, but they offer the amenities and options of a mega-resort. First off, the food and beverage options of the HIlton are endless and easily accessible. All day long, there is a full-service cafe in the hotel itself, a coffee and juice bar past the waterpark on the beach (a hidden gem), and multiple options in between. The buffet found on the ground level offers an array of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Outside there is a grill by the pool, a full service restaurant by the water park, and a pizza bar by the beach, each offering its own variety of options, freshly made to order and delicious. Our favorite was definitely the pizza bar which was a daily stop!
The waterpark was Ellie's first point of exploration during our stay at the Hilton. This was a family favorite throughout our trip. There is an amazing lazy river that winds through palm trees and private canals, as well as 3 body slides and a tube slide! The waterpark really is an awesome feature on the property and like nothing we've experienced in Jamaica. Ellie had so much fun going down the slides and around the lazy river on repeat (and so did we!).
Another awesome aspect of the Hilton Rose Hall for children is their kids club. The women working in the club were so friendly and inviting, I could see them instantly making Ellie comfortable on her first visit. Each day they offered an optional craft for the kids (nominal fee) such as shirt painting, leather making, and dream catcher building, each of which Ellie loved, and she got to come home with souvenirs that meant much more than just being purchased, she got to help make them first hand with the craftsmen and women themselves!
We of course had to check out the gym, which surprisingly was always busy! But there was usually an open treadmill and plenty of equipment/free weights to get a good workout in. Aside from the gym, the Hilton offers lots of other options from daily yoga and spin classes to a variety of other workouts available with their onsite trainers and instructors.
Another option the Hilton offers are their cabanas (pool and beach cabanas are available). We had a pool cabana for our first day, and a beach cabana for the following 3 days of our stay. It was great to check out both options, but the beach cabanas are definitely our favorite because of the true feeling of privacy right on the beach. It was like looking out on our own private slice of paradise. We were in cabana #19 which was towards the watersports portion of the beach. It came with it own cooler packed with water, juice, champagne, and beer, and our own server who was available for whatever we needed!
The Hilton Rose Hall really is a special place, we were also treated to a candle-lit dinner on the beach, which really was a special touch on the already magical stay we had with them. We were seated in a private table overlooking the ocean where we were able to dine while watching a Jamaican sunset. The service was impeccable, and they even had sparkling cider ready for Ellie! So many special touches were done for Ellie to make her feel extra special and that always goes along way in my book. We topped this night off by catching the amazing steel drum band brought on property, below is their version of one of our favorite songs :)
As mentioned, we love the country of Jamaica, its people and their warmth always keep us coming back. But there is something special going on at the Hilton Rose Hall. From their staff, to the location, and just the overall vibe of the resort. We owe them a huge thank you for hosting us and giving us an unforgettable experience. This was a sponsored trip, but as always all thoughts and opinions are my own!
